WebGophers is a web development company based in Gulf Harbour, Whangaparaoa, Auckland, New Zealand.
WebGophers was created in August 2008 by Phil Kent after his wife's frustration at the cost of a simple website for her start-up company.

Phil has been in the IT industry since graduating from university in 2004 and is experienced in web and software development working for companies in Taranaki, Auckland and Christchurch.

He saw a great opportunity in the market when searching for a template that he could change and customise for his wife's company, which lead to the creation of WebGophers — a company aimed at individuals and small businesses giving them the opportunity to market themselves and have a web presence without being charged the big prices.
